Tria markers-rant
AngerI've been a little obsessed with markers since I was in highschool and discovered prismacolor art markers.
I love the way they looks and how they work.
Then I discovered Tria markers. They were great, the color was awesome and didn't fade like prismas. They had three different sized nibs. All those places prisma's were hard to get into because of the felt tip nib? Yeah, Tria was full of win. Plus they matched the pantone color system which could easily be matched to swatches on your computer. No more searching for the color that matched your thumbnail. AND you could buy the ink direct to mix, match and refill your markers.
You were able to get that much more mileage out of Trias then Prismas for only a few cents over the price. They were $3 to $2.95.
I used them for a project in one of my classes and many folks wanted to know what sort of markers they were. I recommended Tria, then when folks looked in to buying them they came back reporting the price was unreasonably high. I had a hard time believing someone would charge $70 for a 12 pack of markers so I did a little poking around.
No seriously, they're charging nearly $6 per, effectively doubling their price. WTF is wrong with you people?
They're nice markers but give me a fraken break no marker is worth THAT much.
They were so cool too.

I just found a really great stock artist for male anatomy. Da is full of good female models but finding tasteful male nudes is hard. Shall link him once I look up how to do that.
